Happy Halloween, folks! Here's a collaborative effort between ~serge369
and me! I drew and colored the characters (in my usual style) and did the silhouette motif (and also converted it in Illustrator for the logo), while he did the absolutely GORGEOUS background, compiled the logo (along with applying the gradient to the motif) and did all the feathers, petals and flowers and all that jazz in an amazing job. My hats off to you, buddy!!!
As you can probably see, it's my character, Tsukino Ayane, dressed as Squall (please, do NOT call him Leon) and Hanamura Kaede dressed as Rinoa, both the main characters of one of the games that was close to my heart throughout high school, despite the flak that it gets for its drawbacks like.... er, the draw system
Fun fact, though: the game was actually first released in Japan on the PSX on February 11, 1999.... exactly a decade after I was born!
Naturally, I took a lot of.... liberties with Squall's outfit, and sort of combined Tsukino's tastes with Squall's original FFVIII outfit and his Dissidia outfit. I know that Squall has his scar on his face and not his chest, but Ayane, in fact, does (briefly mentioned in chapter 1 of CHV). I also realize that the scar is diagonally the wrong way. Hey, if you wanted it to be accurate to Squall, the first thing you should have questioned was the BOOBS!!!! It's my character DRESSED as Squall. I also realize the gunblade is kind of small, but considering Ayane's fighting style, her Revolver might actually be able to shoot bullets, unlike the Vibroblade-like functions of the original Revolver.
Kaede, I wasn't particularly happy with. She turned out alright, I guess.... but I wanted it to be better.... oh well.
Btw, the Japanese in the logo reads "Devil Hunter Ayane." That's the subtitle for my Crimson-Haired Valkyrie
story. The same JP is also in the original CHV logo, if you go to my gallery and check that out.
Oh, btw, the funny thing about this is.... Ayane probably actually has that outfit in her closet.
Ayane: No I...! I... don't... have a..... garter belt.... *blushes*
Kaede: Actually... I was the one that got her the costume.... Anyways, we're copyrighted by ~OrangeSbr
